Lessons From John

This lesson comes from John 6:68-69. Chapter 6 of John is an incredible chapter with a couple of mind blowing miracles. We will not be focusing on these, however we will dive into some deeper waters as we examine this passage. On the surface, for us and the original recipients of John's gospel, we see a lesson of the communion and relate well to the wording of eating Jesus' flesh and drinking his blood. But for the original audience this was blasphemy to their ears and a very hard teaching. Despite all this Peter and the other disciples still pledge allegiance to Jesus when many others decide to leave. How can this be and what lessons will we learn from John today?
