Kingdom Come

2000 years ago Emmanuel, that is Jesus came into the world and changed it forever. Of all the things the expected Messiah was thought to bring, thought to do, and who he would be, what he actually brought, did and was was quite unexpected. Even the idea of what people understood with his name Emmanuel was a little off. What the people then thought of what God being with us meant and what God intends were different. Even today many of us can miss the beauty of what it is that God truly desires as our Emmanuel. This understanding can change everything in who we are as Disciples of Jesus and bring even greater depth and love, peace and security in our connection to God.
