The Good Shepherd

How do you view God? That is how do you perceive him? In the scriptures we are introduced to God initially in the Garden of Eden in a beautifully intimate way. In Exodus we see Him in a pillar of cloud and fire, a very scary view that causes us to bow to and fear God. Later we see God as King, a protector and provider as we see in the Psalms and in the life of David. Later we see him described as a Good Shepherd. Finally we are shown God as Father and Friend by Jesus the exact representation of who God truly is.

How we relate to God depends largely on how we see him. The good thing is we cannot put God in a box and he fits all the descriptions that we find in the Bible and so much more.
