Ezra:

70 years of the exile is coming to an end. God is calling his people back to the promise land to rebuild the kingdom. He is setting the table for the final revelation of his will what he has kept hidden from the dawn of time. The coming of the king. 

The book of Ezra is about the return of God’s people from exile to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem. But beneath the surface, it points to a deeper restoration—the rebuilding of lives through God’s Word, repentance, and grace. Ezra himself becomes a living picture of Christ’s ministry: studying, grieving over sin, interceding, and teaching the people how to walk with God.
